Building the Frameworks...

Back in early 90’s Risto Silenius, Keijo Koivikko, Matti Torro and Sami Huotari began to compose
music together. In 1995 Keyboardist and driving force Mika Pohjola joined the group that had no
name yet and they signed a record deal with Mastervox Records after the leader of the label had
heard a few of their songs. The band chose the name Myon and began immedeatly to record their
debut album Heaven’s garden. The album saw the daylight at the fall of the 1998 in Finland, and
displayed very tight classic hard rock with progressive attitude. After that the time was right to
make the first international attack. Heaven’s garden was licensed by German label Noise
Records/Sanctuary Music.

The second album Ghost in paradise (2002) displayed the heavier and more progressive side of
Myon. The album gained very good response around the world among the rock audience. Ghost in
paradise was the lead singer Sami Huotari’s last album with Myon.

It was a time for a new challenges. New charismatic vocalist and the front man Jukka Nummi was
found quickly and the composing and recordings of the third ground breaking album Slideshow
began. During the first composing session it was obvious that everything was going to change.
Myon take more pop flavoured and mainstream radio frendly direction and composed 12 tracks
with a catchy killer chorus lines still keeping their unique sound and way to perform music
without forgetting the bands progressive nature of the beast.

Now Myon is back with the fourth album Frameworks. This time the band takes very heavy and
progressive attitude towards music.Think Frameworks as a mixture of Queensryche, Rush and
Kansas at their best, still sounding unique and modern. in these boring days of music business
when every band sounds like clones of each others. Myon has made an honest album using tape
recorders and all those classic recording methods including real vintage instruments like Moog
synthesizers, together with modern studio technology. Thats not all, Frameworks also contains
very good unforgettable songs which will last the test of time in these days of computerized
music.
